Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.
Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
Never force your child to take part in sports.
Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all.
Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
Publicly accept officials’ judgements.
Spectators, including coaching staff and parents, may not enter the field of play at any time. Medical/First Aid personnel for purposes of treating an injured player are exempt from this rule. Infringement of this rule may result in up to a life time ban from all rugby clubs in the UK.
Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
Use correct and proper language at all times.
Any parent/carer making inappropriate verbal comments to the referee, players or other spectators, including taunting, may be asked to leave the playing arena.
Any member of the club not conforming to the Codes of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary action.
